My ADventures

It has been a month already. Time flies. In the past month, i had the opportunity to do a no. of things. I was invited to an American family's home and I actually dined with them, sat on a no. of ride including roller coasters, went out of town & we drove to another town called Cincinniti - South of Ohio. The drive there took about 4 hours. What i remembered most of this trip was the drive back. It was kinda of scary (Do not let my mom know about it).

Wen, Roland & i before taking the ride. It was a scary ride. A ride that i will not want to hop on again. Serious. No joke man.

A group pict at Millennium Force. After this pict, all of them except me went to take a second time (Haha). Not a ride for me!

My adopted family :) Joe and Mary. They have 3 big dogs and 5 cats. They are extremely nice and friendly. Feel so blessed!

One of my days off. Went to take ride. This ride that we took was a new ride. Not too bad!

Maverick @ the back. Wouldn't mind taking again (haha). The guy beside me is Roland. A nice guy. Like a younger brother to me.

A fun ride. Not too bad. It is a wooden roller coaster. The fun part of the ride is that there is a competition between the two roller coaster. They will race to see which roller coaster is faster.

This ride is called the Dragster. The speed of the ride is from 0-120km/hr. Crazy la. I have not taken it yet coz of the lack of time. But i will surely take it one day before i leave!

Will upload more picts the next time - the road trips to Cincinniti and to Grove City

It has been a fruitful time thus far. Though at work there were a couple of times i wondered why did i come to States to cook hotdogs and french fries, clean the floor & table, having to deal with difficult people who kept ordering us to do work while they slack and people who simply do not do anything. I was really mad & unhappy a couple of days ago. However, as i began to ponder, i was reminded that in a class, i was told by this lady that one of the things i will bring away and gain from this experience is tolerance. I must admit that it can be really difficult especially some of the Americans people. They do tend to take many breaks and love to chat. Those are not bad. But they often do it when things are really busy. However, i am not wanting to make a sweeping statement because i have met with some really wonderful Americans. They have really been very hospitable to us. I believe in life, there are always the goods and the bads. Often it depends on whether i choose to focus on the positive or dwell on the negative. I choose to focus on the former. I choose to not allow the negative things to pull me down and upset me. The negative feelings are real but i will not allow it to dwell within me.

Yest (Saturday), was really an extremely busy day for Happy Friar. I was cooking hotdogs for a continuous period of 6.5 hr. It was crazy man. I cooked till my hands and fingers felt sore. Time really flew past us very quickly. Shortly after the crazy period, i was granted a break. Felt good at the break. When i came back from break, it was followed by another crazy period as it was dinner time. Though things were really busy, i enjoyed working yest as i felt that everyone did their part even those who usually do nothing (haha). But by the time i got back to my apartment, it was 1am. I was really tired and i slept without eating dinner. Woke up this morning, went to church. The pastor preached on "Fear of God". For me it was a timely reminder and also a new revelation of what it meant. A simple but yet powerful msg. I knew that i had to take time to reflect on the msg and my life as a whole. A lady from church took us out for breakfast. It was really good. Enjoyed every bite of my breakfast. However, shortly after i reached my apartment, did not feel well. Took a rest and woke up feeling rather bad. I guess i was falling sick. So i decided not to go to work and sleep in. Was having a slight fever and throat inflammation. Now as i am writing, i feel ok. I know that God has healed me. Praise God!

Yup this coming Wednesday i will be going on another road trip. I am looking forward to it :) I will update u with the trip :)
